I am enjoying the complexity of all the projects we work on, and how much I am pushing the boundaries of what I do. Some of the activities I carry out - outside of the more typical UX work - are: technical specification and nerd-stuff-related communication, UX writing, some Project Management.

First cool project I worked on here:

Re-design of the internal communication and organization platform (intranet) for Iren, a multi-utility Group made of tens of smaller companies, with more than 9.000 total employees.

Why was it cool to work on this
We had to design for both the product owners (editorial and communication team) and the end-users (the employees), which posed a double challenge. Another element of complexity (= fun) is that the end user is extremely diversified: technicians, managers, field workers, engineers, from all of Italy.
Process-wise this project was very interesting too, we worked with an Agile settings organized around bi-weekly sprints with regular meetings with key stakeholders.

What did I do
Co-design sessions with the client;
benchmark and inspirational research;
User research (interviews and focus groups);
UX design (Information Architecture and structure of the platform,
wireframing, user flows, microcopy);
collaborated with the UI designer process in building the design system;
building and maintaining the digital prototype;
user testing;
writing part of the specification documents and general communication with the engineering team who made it real;
prepared and carried out educational activities with the internal editorial team in charge of using the platform.
Corelab is the design spin-off of the consultancy company Coreconsulting. The core business (pun unavoidable) is consultancy around HR topics: internal education, internal communication, ...
Another cool project I worked on here

Our client, Unioncamere, collects a huge number of data, some of which show insightful connections between the professional world and the academic world. The goal of the project was to create a platform to allow high-school and middle-school students (and their support figures - in particular the parents, teachers and school counselors) to access and understand the numbers.

Why was it cool to work on this
It was very challenging to first of all decipher all the data and numbers; then re-purpose and organize them finding the balance between too-much and too-little information, between over and under-explaining
I'm proud of this work, I think it can really be useful - and we received very positive feedback from them after the publication.

What did I do
User interviews;
benchmark and inspirational research;
UX design (Information Architecture and structure of the platform,
wireframing, user flows, microcopy);
user testing;
help supporting the implementation team: specification documents and general communication with the engineering team who made it real

Both testing of the information architecture (here censored),
and of the interface

Quite the task
